Part of a series of instinctive mark-making works, Flash Series explores spontaneous movement through a practice inspired by the Japanese tradition of Hitsuzendō. The series continues a line of artistic research into gesture, rhythm and repetition, in dialogue with the work of Pierrette Bloch.
Each piece emerges from a repeated, liberated movement of the hand, allowing the gesture to unfold intuitively, free from predetermined intention. The resulting marks capture the energy and rhythm of the movement itself.
This original monotype is professionally framed by a framing workshop in the South of France. The aluminium frame features a brushed finish on the exterior and a polished mirror finish on the interior, creating a refined contrast with the work.
