Vine Small Carafe

€550.00

This small carafe is part of a series of experimental blown glass pieces, including coupes and vases. The series features sculptural vine-like handles and ornaments evoking the twisting, living tendrils of plants. Each piece embraces the unpredictable nature of the glassblowing process, resulting in organic, irregular forms.

The aesthetic recalls the botanical studies of Karl Blossfeldt, drawing parallels between the intricate structure of leaves and stems, and the malleability of glass.

By allowing the fluid properties of glass to guide the creative process, these objects explore a balance between control and spontaneity, highlighting the organic connection between material and form in a sculptural context.

For this series of carafes, the production process remains the same, but we intentionally play with variations in the handle design. As a result, each handle has a unique shape, making every carafe one of a kind. The entire series is composed of these unique, handcrafted pieces.
